    The coax cable was described as RG-58C/U. This designation implies a stranded center conductor. The cable delivered to me has a solid center conductor. Since I am using this cable in a fixed location, it is not a deal breaker. I changed out the N connectors for PL-259 ("UHF") connectors. Installing soldered on connectors to this cable is made more difficult as foil is bonded to the dielectric insulator. Actual RG-58C/U doesn't have foil between outside shield and the dielectric insulator
