which I am fine with but I had thought it was an Apple Remote upon purchasing. Nice to have this Apple TV in my bedroom now :)

Oh yes, another classic. In all of the listings we do, we state the following: "Please consider the pictures to be an integral, and primary part of the item's description." Clearly, even if you never read the listing; you can see in the photos that the remote is not an original Apple component. Also, in the listing we said, "Includes a replacement, aftermarket remote control." I mean, clearly it should come as no surprise. Aside, the OEM remote is a on the small side IMO and easier to misplace.
