The item works with my Sony A7R3 and the nikon 50mm lens but it can't control the focusing. I suspect that my sony controls zoom/ focusing with controls in camera & motor in lens. The 50mm lens worked great with the nikon D810 since this model has an internal motor in the body of the camera and the 50mm doesn't. The sony has c9ntrols in the body buy the motor is located in most of their lens.
