The vise was in condition as described, minimal packing, but appears it was delivered without damage. I had to loosen the screws/springs in order to lock the saw in place, but then it wouldn't close on the saw. I'm giving the seller the benefit of the doubt since I'm new to working with an antique saw vise which is why I'm giving him a positive review. It needs some trouble shooting. The clamp to lock the vise onto my workbench was solid and works as it should. I would by from "grandpa" again.
