About this product
Product Information
Chronicles: The Video Collection includes 12 clips from mid-period Rush, 1977 to 1987. Six selections are taken from previously released videos, including "Tom Sawyer" and "Red Barchetta" (from Exit...Stage Left), "Subdivisions" and "Distant Early Warning" (from Through the Camera Eye), and "Red Sector A" (from Grace Under Pressure). "The Big Money," which includes early computer animation and a Monopoly-like stage, was issued as a bonus clip on the original Grace Under Pressure video collection. Two gems are "Closer to the Heart" and "The Trees." It appears that these were taken from television shows -- The Midnight Special or Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, perhaps? -- but no such credits are listed. "Limelight" was filmed at Le Studio, where several Rush albums were recorded. "Mystic Rhythms" features an odd industrial look and an emphasis on several wood-carved human figures. "Lock and Key" relies heavily on the imagery used in the album artwork for Hold Your Fire. The most impressive video is "Time Stand Still." It's an astonishing technical achievement. Swirling, overlapping footage of vocalist/bass guitarist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and drummer Neil Peart is combined with that of guest vocalist Aimee Mann. [The 2001 DVD reissue Chronicles: The DVD Collection includes two rare bonus videos, "The Enemy Within" and "Afterimage." These conceptual clips of Grace Under Pressure songs were only previously available on Through the Camera Eye.] ~ Bret Adams

- u***s (59)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchasePoor communication from seller. I contacted the post office and was told the seller created a label but failed to hand the item over to the post office. 3 weeks went by and I never received any update from the seller. Unfortunately this is one of the very few people on eBay who I don't trust and will no longer do business with. 0/5 stars don't recommend.
