Plate was wrapped in thin bubble wrap and easily moved around in shipping. When I first opened the package, the plate was faced down, and I saw a red mark on the plate which I removed with my thumb and was glad it came off. When I flipped the plate over I saw the chip. The seller at first offered to replace then did a 180 and insinuated I switched the plate. Not worth the hassle over $15.
