This item does fit as described, although at 2" you will need to add some spacers to shock mounts to keep them aligned vertically. It will put tension on them. At the full 3" drop this does not work at least on the 08 Nightster. I have removed the rear fender and gutted all the support brackets and the tire still rubbs seat mount screw, which is a necessary thing. This is a great option for slamming especially if your deleting rear fender entirely.
