In addition, the 503CXI can use 70mm film loaded in a special magazine as well. The addition of a compatible Hasselblad digital back even allows the 503CXI to become a 50-megapixel digital camera.When you pick up the Hasselblad, the solid workmanship stands out thanks to its comfortable weight. The body is built from a one-piece, cast aluminum alloy shell with both ¼-inch and 3/8-inch tripod sockets. It uses the interchangeable Carl Zeiss bayonet-mount CF and C lenses. These are available in focal lengths from a 30mm lens to a 500mm lens. The Hasselblad camera serves as a reliable medium format workhorse for many different applications.The SLR cameras are compatible with a variety of interchangeable accessories, including the focus screens. That means that you’ll be able to customize to fit your individual needs and tastes. And, since this is an entirely mechanical model, there’s no waiting for the device to turn on. It’s always ready to create great photos as soon as you pick it up. Weighing in at about a pound and a half the body of the Hasselblad 503CXI feels solid and substantial in your hands. The lens and magazine added to the body bring the entire package up to about 3 pounds. It is heavy enough to be sturdy but light enough to carry easily.The camera is normally used with its bright waist-level viewfinder, with a foldable hood to block out extraneous light. However, the product is compatible with pentaprism viewfinders for those who prefer to shoot at eye level. In addition, there are hoods available with diopter correction for use without glasses. The winding lever on the side both advances the film and cocks the shutter. Through-the-lens metering is accurate when using the meter prism accessory. The TTL-center weighted system with off the film metering can handle ISO settings 16 to 1000. Exposure control is fully manual via clearly marked dials on the lens. This is a camera which allows you to take your time to appreciate the workmanship. Both the outstanding photo quality and the beauty of the body are noteworthy. The high flash sync speed, which is possible thanks to the leaf shutter, stands out as a helpful feature. The top flash sync speed is a lightning-fast 1/500th of a second. You will be able to largely eliminate ghosting from ambient light to produce attractive flash photos.
