You can't use an external hard drive with it, has to be a flash drive and only a CERTAIN KIND of flash drive, USB 3.0 or something, anything less causes the audio to be unsynced. Also, if the movies run longer than 2 hours and 10 minutes, this machine splits the movie into 2 separate files which you then have to "join" on the computer on your own.
