The break-in is pretty rough, even in big socks I got chaffing around my ankle bones and heel but after a month or so of wearing them a little every day they fit like a glove. The rough out leather is super tough and brushes up nicely with a bit of dubbin. The thick sole takes a bit of time but once it flexes where it needs to it’s great. The wide toe box is awesome for my wide feet, no crushed pinky toe.
