    As listed, the water timer was new in original packaging (in the shipping box from the seller). Unexpectedly, the shipping box had an UN3480 label for lithium-ion batteries shipped alone, without being contained in or packed with equipment. As stated by the manufacturer (Nelson) on the original packaging, "Batteries are not included". The seller did not provide batteries either. I'm guessing that shipping by USPS might have been faster if the UN3480 label wasn't on the box.
