Nice early pewter plate. I especially love the make-do repair. It illustrates the importance of utilitarian household items long before our disposal mindset. Not the seller's fault at all, but due to a mistake by the postal service this plate took a wild tour of the country before getting here. Thanks for a most interesting piece.
