A lot of faff to make them fit an early Mk1. Advice provided to make it fit Mk1 1.6 was poor. I ended up using 4 x Rivnut's and used existing holes with dome head screws. Also needed rubber spacer to stop it rattling. The extra cost was not expected. I should have just painted or polished the old Aluminium one. Now on FB Marketplace

The part is for a 1.8, not a 1.6. It can fit on a 1.6 but the holes are not there in the panel below.
