I put them on the bottom of a chunky coffee table in front of the sofa, which we put our feet on, this imparts a sideways force and as the adhesive is not super strong, they slip off after a couple of days, which also happened with some left over kitchen cupboard door stops that I tried before I bought these. I guess I need something much bigger or screw on feet.
