Installed in a 1978 CJ5, took about an hour. Didn't have to remove the transmission plate, easy to access. OEM linkage was tight to remove, had to drop transfer case or use hole saw in floorboard to get shifter bolt out, option B was easiest solution. For past 10 years kept one hand on XFR shifter to keep it popping out or gear. After install, drove property in 4WD low, climbing hills never attempted before, didn't touch the shifter once. Wish I'd purchased this part 9 years and 364 days ago.
