I had to create a make shift bearing press of sorts with a C-Clamp to seat the gear, and then fniish driving it home with a soft mallet to fully seat the gear. Happy ending- Sharpener works great once again.

Unbelievable really it’s like brand new again. Took a bit to change the gear but if you go on Utube that’s a clip that shows you how to change it. Took about 20 minutes love it thanks.
