The snapper popper does not have weight and I had to add additional weight for casting so it can reach some distance. The design is not as shown in picture, the hook and the tubing is too short between 1/2 inch - 1 inch long, usual they are approx 2 to 2 1/2 inches long. If you cannot cast this off your shore rod then maybe this was not the type you needed. maybe a heavier jig with a treble hook would have been a better choice. if you needed something with more ounces then I would have had no problem making a trade but to put a negative comment bc you chose something that is a mass product with a mass advertisement and picture. no bueno sir. I'm a fisherman as well and that was not cool.
