The item is plastic. Seller maintains they are shell pearls but the plastic coating is coming off. Reporting this seller to eBay. Be careful if you buy from them. Hard to show in the photos but where the hole is in the bead the coating is lifting. Tried to fob me off by saying it’s ‘shell pearl’ and therefore different but a plastic coating says no! Don’t get me wrong. A pretty necklace and cheap but not pearl.
