This large-aperture zoom lens features the sharpness and image performance of a single focal length lens with a constant, large aperture of f/2.8 throughout the entire zoom range. The optical system includes an ultra-precision ground and polished glass aspherical lens element (1st) that provides a high level of contrast and sharpness at all shooting distances. Fast and silent AF and full-time manual focusing are achieved by a USM (Ultrasonic Motor), inner focusing system and lightweight lens elements. As the filter attachment ring does not rotate during focusing, 77mm PL-C filters can have good operability.

I was very excited to find the lens I wanted in excellent condition for such a good price. Expected to arrival between the 10th and 15th, arrived the 14th. Before I even put the lens on my camera I could see I would have to return it. The inner glass was dirty brown. It was so bad the lens wont even focus because of the useless quality of the glass. The company responded a day later and simply said they would send me a return shipping label and refund the money when the item is returned.

I had to contact eBay to force them to pay for my return as they had originally claimed free returns and were not wanting to honor that. Once I mentioned that I had spoken to eBay, they sent a return label. Camera is fine but is rather old and a lot of newer SD cards do not work on it. Won't be buying again.
