The nosegear had been detached and reglued. I have multiple NG A330s, so I could tell immediately. These models can be hit or miss from the factory; it's possible that the botched gear arrived like that from the factory. However, I would have preferred to have the chance to repair it myself rather than put up with someone else's botched job. Good thing that the satisfaction of having the NG South African A330 in my collection outweighs the frustration of the botched gear.
