    I received the Singer Featherweight 221 221-1 Sewing Machine Owners Manual a couple of days ago. I have read some of it & then reread some of it while cleaning & doing maintenance for the first time. My biggest surprise was to find out that the 1951 machine that I have actually has a thread cutter built into it. Also was a little surprised to find out that the motor takes grease & not oil. Anyway, for me the manual was worth the money in order to get acquainted with the little 221-1 .
