The hardest part is disconnecting three ribbon cables from their sockets to separate the two halves of the laptop body. On the two smaller ones the black clip on the socket hinges upwards to release the cable - the socket for the keyboard itself has a cream-coloured clip that slides horizontally to lock the cable. When reassembling, ensure the cable is inserted fully and squarely before operating the clip, and don't force it
