    I've marked this transaction as positive, and certainly the buyer was very cordial in his communications, but here's the thing: despite listing my item as "brand new", the cellophane on the jewel case had been broken and the disc was wrapped in tissue. For all intents and purposes, this listing should've been deemed "like new".

    The buyer incorrectly describes a brand new item as ‘as new’, as if they have been misled, not made a mistake and failed to read the listing details. Such is the nature of online culture. The listing details describes exceptionally well, to avoid any mistake, why the plastic has been opened. It is of course the case that not every ‘brand new’ item is sold by retailers wrapped in plastic and certainly for years no cases were by anyone. Reading before righteousness always best .
