Digitally remastered edition. One of several of the so-called 'teen idols' that exploded onto the American music scene towards the end of the 1950s, Bobby Rydell enjoyed more hits and a lengthier career than many of his contemporaries, also branching out to break into television and films. It was, however, his success on the music front that made it all possible, with Bobby racking up some 34 Top 40 hits during the course of his career, a more than impressive tally for a teen idol! This twelve track compilation was originally released stateside in 1961 and became his first charting album, hitting #12 on the Billboard chart. It contains what were then his biggest hits, including the Top Ten successes' We Got Love' (itself the inspiration for the Beatles' 'She Loves You'), 'Volare', 'Swingin' School' and 'Wild One'.
