This is the first of three MS66 1942 half dollars I purchased this week, this one from a local seller, the others for the branch mints coming in from Massachusetts and California. The coin is well lustered and well struck considering this is 1942 and war drove triple shifts at the mints. The slab has a fair number of hairline marks, though they minimally impact the field of view. Slabs are always the challenge. I purchase for the coin, and the coin is a welcome addition to my collection.
