However, the connector for the sensor, has changed. Version 1 has a three-pin connector where two of the pins are in use. The version 2 motor has a four-pin connector with all four pins occupied. I gently took out the four individual pins and used the green and yellow pins in the three-pin connector housing. Worked perfectly. New motor is much stronger than before.
