Seller assured me the "ebay receipt" was an official proof of purchase with which Rockshox could honor warranty. Rockshox said that's not true (original owner only, which was a giant/trek dealer), so no warranty return possible. Seller couldn't provide proof of purchase either and accepted return in the end.
