JBL double boxes them and the seller also puts them in a box and then added bubble wrap to protect the 2 pairs of xlr cables. The shipping took the normal amount of time that you would expect for a larger box. One of the corners of the outer box and inner box(s) was dented, but JBL has foam on the inside to protect the speakers. Mine are perfect and sound great and should only get better as they break in.
