They tasted a little stale and were affected with chocolate bloom, a crystalization process that happens to chocolate products when the fat and/or sugar separate, causing the chocolate to turn that sickly white.. This normally happens when chocolate hangs around on shelves for a while and can get affected by exposure to heat or sun in particular.
