Notes
Born in Argentina in 1921, Astor Piazzolla is recognized for his composition style that combined European Art music and Argentinian Tango. His composition Lo que Vendrá (What will come) is a powerful example of this style called, "Nuevo Tango." Jobiniana No. 1 is part of a set of 4 pieces composed by the Brazilian guitarist and composer, Sergio Assad that pay homage to the great Antonio Carlos Jobim. Assad highlights Jobim's musical universe with syncopated Bossa Nova rhythms, beautiful melodies, and impressionistic harmonies. Enrique Granados was born in Lleida, Spain in 1867. While much of Granados music relies on a nationalistic style that uses both Catalan and Spanish folk idioms, the Valses Poeticos present a romantic side to his output. Originally written for the piano, arrangements of the Valses Poeticos have become a staple in the guitar repertoire. One of Spain's most important nationalistic composers is Isaac Albeniz who was born in 1860. Here we have "Aragon", a fantasia in the style of a 'jota', which is a dance from the Aragon region of Spain. The second piece by Albeniz presented is "Mallorca", a barcarolle, or 'boat song'. Suite Retratos was written by the Brazilian composer, Radames Gnattali in 1958. Originally for mandolin, choro ensemble and orchestra, the composer arranged it for two guitars at the request of Sergio and Odair Assad. 'Retrato' translates to portrait, and here we have four portraits that visit the composition styles of four of Brazil's musical luminaries. Jongo is one of Bellinati's best-known compositions. Based on the Afro-Brazilian slave dance of the same name, Jongo captures the spirit of the dance with it's fast tempo and syncopated rhythms.

Received the vintage book VERY FAST, in only 2 days. The package was carefully wrapped and the 80 year old book is in excellent condition! The book was illustrated by a relative my immediate family never met so this means a lot to me. The seller was gracious to give me a discount when there was some confusion over a Venmo special coupon savings that was not part of the seller’s original listing. Thanks Seth for staying in contact with me throughout the purchase process and all your help!

VERY PLEASED!!! Item arrived QUICKLY, in a plastic bag to protect it in case of delivery on a rainy day, and then inside a nice box. Looked BETTER IN REAL LIFE THAN in the seller's high-quality photos. Got a great deal on a book I've wanted for a while. Seller was STRAIGHTFORWARD, RESPONSIVE, PERSONABLE, and EASY TO WORK WITH. I felt like I was in a brick-and-mortar shop. I would happily buy from them again!

Items arrived exactly as described - in unused and sealed condition. These brushes are pretty expensive generally so I was really happy to come across this posting from the seller - this was a great deal. Packaged nicely and no extra charge for shipping was great. Really happy with the purchase. Thank you!
