Wrote the seller asking about the scent and they never responded. Besides the disgusting scent, the pants did arrive in the described condition. After 4 washes they don’t stink up the room & I can comfortably wear them. Size was correct. Overall I’m pleased with the pair but not with the hours of work I had to do to get them smelling neutral. I had the pants in my possession for over 6 years. They had been stored in a large Costco storage container along with other normal cotton and polyester clothing. They were never stored with mothballs while I had them and to me never had a smell to them other then smelling like wool clothing. Maybe the previous owner used mothballs and I'm just not sensitive to the odor. Anyway, glad you got them to the point where you are satisfied.
