The cable makes a difference for me too, low capacitance litz wire just seems to increase sensitivity in a positive way. With a Synthesis 41DC+ tube amp and Hifiman Arya, I can really hear more line noise and tube warm up than before. To make it quiet again I am using an Isotek power conditioner. And now there is more detail and I hear quieter stuff that I could not before. Very nice!
