This is more about Manufacturers. This was my second try to get a backrest installed. I'm not sure the two dealers weren't the same. This time the rest needed some missing screws. I messaged dealer and the reply was we'll knock 5 dollars off and I buy local. Problem was a odd size that know one stocked. I knew I would not get them in a fair bit time, even if dealer would send to me. I ended up buying a kit and re thread the screw holes to a common size. The dealer did refund the $26 spent.
