it is a great external compressor along with the noise gate works a treat with the electret standard HM-219 microphone performs exceptionally with this unit. My Heil ICM Desk Microphone Made for Icom 8 Pin with the noise gate on this compressor works wonders, no more dogs barking, background noise breaking in on the audio transmission, need to setup with a monitoring radio to tune/balance with the mic gain and output, wind back the tx and still 5/9+ reports into Europe from Australia.
