The price I paid, including the shipping and tax, was comparable to what I would have paid if I found the bowl at an estate sale. This was actually an important consideration for me. So, for right now (early August) it's holding one of my favorite ivy plants, and sharing my grandmother's mahogany table comfortably with a buffalo check runner and a thrift shop rooster.
