Device works which is what matters. Refurbs are always a mixed bag; mine was pretty scuffed up, but it's not purchased for aesthetics ("fair" cosmetic appearance), mainly the performance where it'll sit in a corner doing its gig which matters. Overall great value, no show-stopper issues, would buy again.

Had someone's specific Network SSID and Password on it, so the default one on the sticker from Netgear did not work. Thus it couldn't be set-up / used initially. I spent over an hour on the phone with Netgear Tech Support proving I purchased this legitimately (had to provide proof of purchase) and they finally unlocked it, registered it into my name, and it worked perfect.
