The packaging was good, with a layer of packing foam between the two bowls and then this encased in an inner cardboard enclosure that was securely taped. This was inside another box, with paper filler. The value of these for me is priceless. I had a bowl like this that was my grandmother's, and it got dropped. it was in too many pieces to fix. This is just what I wanted!
