I contacted the seller and provided several pictures of the damaged item, the box, and the packing material. I was told the seller would open a claim with FEDEX and they would decide how the broken copier would be handled. Either sent back or disposed. The seller advised this would take a week to ten days. This process seems so out of touch with how return are normally handled today. Trouble free and fast.
