Tested both drives I bought, read and write speeds were consistent from beginning to end of each drive and met or exceeded manufacturer ratings. I'm Using this for unraid so I can confirm my drives had unique GUID/serials which is a requirement for that OS. While indicated as being new drives, both of mine had a couple bad sectors and appear to have been used in a network appliance, but had low cycle counts (24). Am happy with my purchase
