I thought all it needed to be re-surfaced, took it to a retro game store with an industrial disc resurfacing machine. Although the game now loads, the CGI is choppy and skips leading the game to crash. The seller did everything right on their end, I just screwed myself out of a refund by resurfacing the disc.
