Seller Notes: “Attractive early 20th century full grained leather binding by Mudie, gilt title lettering & stamped ... “Attractive early 20th century full grained leather binding by Mudie, gilt title lettering & stamped compartments, raised bands, board edges and inner dentelles gilt decorated, all edges gilt, marbled end papers. Handsome binding. Book is over 100 years old and shows some mostly light signs of handling and time. Binding gently age worn but still appealing, leather lightly rubbed and scuffed in spots but still clean and attractive, remains overall very attractive as an object. A splendid style of custom book binding that looks nicer in person than the close-up photo indicates (which seems to accentuate the wear). Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, internally book remains tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but was used and does not look like new.”
