    This Nyukon plane is made by Shoichiro Tanaka who has long ago passed away. Forty years ago I had the privilege of meeting and watching Shoichiro who was then close to retirement. A contemperary of Chiyozuru I , his planes were of similar value in Japan. Shoichiro just never got the same publicity here in the USA . This model was one of the best quality planes in the product line.
