I bought a used DME set for a bmw and took it to our specialty shop where the mechanic tried to read the DME on his autel and was unable to. We plugged in the original DME and the computer read it just fine. The DMEs were the same model unit for the same vehicle so the only conclusion we could come to is that it was a faulty DME. Don't trust your purchase from them.
