No dead pixels, no scratches, etc. The particular model I got also lacks the dreaded red tint bug (can still replicate it but it only flashes for a second when switching between picture modes). Firmware version ended up being v1.007 which has fewer issues than v1.006. The open box was a discount of over 100 dollars off the MSRP. Great seller and would buy from again!
