I took out the IC on engine card that I purchased. The stepper motor for the read/write head works now.

This item was exactly what I was hoping. Around 2 months ago, I got a Commodore 64 for my birthday, yet it wasn't working. As it turns out, both the CIA chips had gone bad and needed replacing. As soon as I swapped out the old CIA chips for this pair I ordered, it finally started to work properly! I am so glad
