Turns out, it was the fan that had went kaput. So, I ordered a fan from this seller. It was here quickly and was packaged with extreme care (even came in a clear plastic hard case inside of the thick bubble envelope.) Installed it (only took about 5 minutes with a precision screwdriver set) and now my computer is 100% completely quiet and runs just like it did when it was new! Thank you so much!
