Good, but the laptop sounds like it's playing Carmageddon when you move the volume slider.. Not sure if this is a plus or a minus.

Hey mate, apologise for that, totally didn't test the volume since I've got it, nor this was mentioned by the Japanese seller who sold me this.

No worries thanks for the apologies. I figured that was the case as it's not obvious till you move the potentiometer and there's no OS on it so no real reason to do that.. It'll just be a recap anyway to fix the volume at various positions which is expected on hardware getting to this age. I've never seen one that you actually need to change the volume position and it then parks into a noise. Bought as-is so *shrug* in very nice cosmetic condition and worth fixing so happy with it thanks.
