Funny my professors in college would have made me scrap pieces with the weight of a brick feel like his. I look at this piece and the neck of the opening is similar to his 40’s pieces. A fine example of his early pieces. The pieces before he got his MASTERS and PHD give a great insight to his development as a ceramicist. Awesome addition to my collection. I have a vase he threw a black glaze vase same size and form.
