I had shorted a relay trying to get it out with a screwdriver (use a plastic lever if necessary!) Although problem fixed with a new relay the light stayed on until the code had been cancelled. Although I was unable to read the fault code details I was able to erase it and the light goes out when the engine is started. Whilst its applications may be limited for motorcycles it is well worth the money to eliminate superfluous codes.
