Very easy to fire up. I strongly suggest igniting on very low gas setting then cranking it up to avoid flashback from gas buildup. My next go to is going to be a high threshold infrared thermometer to better guage the heat level. Only thing I think could improve on thus far is an air channel to help heat faster. They do make models with them I just went cheap on this one.
